Well hey there, y’all! Happy Thanksgiving from down here in the South! We got a whole lot to be thankful for this year, As we gather ’round the table this Thanksgiving, sipping sweet tea and feasting on turkey with all the fixings, I can’t help but feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude for the recent election results and what they mean for our great nation. Just like the spirit of Miracle on 34th Street, there’s a hint of magic brewing in the air. The Good Lord and the majority of American voters have presented us with something truly special this holiday season—a path forward that most of us have been longing for.
In the classic film Miracle on 34th Street, Kris Kringle found himself in a predicament that many of us know too well—a world filled with doubt, bureaucracy, and questions about belief. Just as the townsfolk found faith in Kris, I believe that we have much to be hopeful about in our own little slice of America. With President-elect Donald Trump and a Republican-controlled Congress set to join forces, I feel like we’re holding our very own Santa Claus moment!
Now, let me tell ya, there are a few bureaucrats out there sweating bullets, wondering where their next paycheck is coming from. But hey, maybe it’s time they look to the entrepreneurial spirit and invest in small businesses, just like the folks at Macy’s who turned to Kris for a little holiday magic. After all, if they put in the same effort and creativity we taxpayers have been funding all these years, we might see some real innovations!
This Thanksgiving, we’re not just thankful for the turkey and the fixins’, but for the folks who stood up and said, “Wait a minute, this is our country, and we want it back.” Just like Macy’s customers who flocked to Kris because he was genuine and helpful, Americans flocked to the polls to show they wanted a government that works for them, not against them.
When I think of what’s on the horizon—extending those tax cuts that we know let families keep a little more of their hard-earned money, boosting the border wall funding (because secure borders equal secure futures, y’all), and promoting school choice for our kids—I can’t help but imagine how these changes will uplift families across our nation like a well-timed snowstorm in a holiday movie.
Just as Kris Kringle’s belief in Santa inspired trust and joy in the hearts of many, I see a campaign of hope brewing. Our new House leadership is taking shape, and with leaders like Mike Johnson stepping up, I believe they are ready to usher in a season of prosperity and accountability that will dazzle us like the lights on a Christmas tree in the heart of New York City.
