No More Fact Checking?

admin, April 24, 2025

Posted January 12, 2025 – 🇺🇸 Well, butter my biscuit and call me confused! Dean Burnette here, and let me tell ya somethin’, Y’all ain’t gonna believe this, but Meta has decided to throw in the towel on its fact-checking program, and our dear President Biden has called the move “really shameful.” Now, isn’t that just the pot calling the kettle black? 🤔

Let me tell ya, I’ve had enough of this charade. How many times have my friends, family, and I faced the digital guillotine of “Facebook Jail” simply for sharing our honest thoughts? Our posts were tagged and locked away because they didn’t fit the fact-checkers’ biased narrative. It’s like getting grounded for telling the truth – makes you question who’s really in charge and what their agenda is!

Meta admitting their fact-checking was more slanted than a Tennessee hillside, even moving their operation to Texas to get some balanced thinking, and our Commander in Chief is pitching a fit about it? Let’s be honest: when the puppet strings are pulled by billionaires who can decide what information you get to see and what you don’t, it’s pretty rich for anyone to pretend they’re in touch with democracy. Talk about a fancy frock covering up a pig in the mud! We’re talking about a billionaire who gets to decide what’s true and what’s not, and here comes President Biden wagging his finger, acting like the world’s moral compass. Seriously? It’s like Dracula complaining about blood banks! 🧛‍♂️

These so-called “fact-checkers” have been doing more harm than good, and now we find out they were just a bunch of misguided souls with their own agendas. It’s a wild world we’re living in when discrediting everyday folks becomes the norm, and all we get in return is political posturing.

So, I say let’s take back our voices! This isn’t just about a social media platform; it’s about the right to express ourselves without someone in an ivory tower telling us what’s “fact” and what’s “fiction.” You know what’s fiction? The idea that these fact-checkers ever really had our best interests at heart!

In the grand scheme of things, I reckon it’s time we put the “fact” back in “fact-checking,” starting with holding the real offenders accountable. And if it takes a little Southern sarcasm to get the point across, well, bless their hearts! 🌻

As a grateful American citizen who values truth more than a cold drink on a hot Sunday afternoon, I’m just gonna say what needs saying: Moving these operations to Texas and letting regular folks have their say might just be the best thing since sliced bread and pimento cheese.

So, let’s raise a glass, shall we? To the end of biased fact-checking and the beginning of some good ol’ fashioned common sense. And to Joe Biden, well, I guess we’ll just have to agree to disagree on what’s “shameful” around these parts. Y’all have a blessed day now, ya hear? So, what do y’all think? Am I just a crazy ol’ coot, or is somethin’ fishy goin’ on here?

Keep your eyes peeled, folks. We’re living in a world where truth and bias are battlin’ it out like the Hatfields and McCoys, and we’re all just tryin’ to figure out which side of the feud we’re on.

Just goes to show, you can’t always trust what’s labeled “fact”—it might just be someone’s idea of a tall tale! 💔🇺🇸

-Dean Burnette That’s my two cents, y’all. Take it for what it’s worth.”

(Just a regular American trying to make sense of it all)

Posted April 25, 2025 – I saw a post about government interference in private universities, and I gotta say, I respect where my friend is comin’ from. He’s right; academic institutions should be focused on the pursuit of knowledge, and that’s a noble goal. However, I’d like to offer a…

What About Dixie?

April 24, 2025

Woke up at 4:30 this morning with Dixie on my mind and a heaviness in my heart. I couldn’t shake the thought of our beloved Dixieland, and the heritage that’s bein’ erased right before our eyes. I’m talkin’ about the South, y’all. The land of cotton, where the tea is…

Posted February 5, 2025 – As I sit here watching NBC local and national news, I’m struck by the glaring bias in their reporting. It’s like they think they’re smarter than us, tryin’ to shape our opinions instead of giving us the whole story. Have you noticed how the news…
