Louisiana Born – Georgia Grown – Blog

Posted December 7, 2024 – 🇺🇸 Friends, as I sit here reflecting on President Roosevelt’s powerful words from that fateful December morning in 1941, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude for this great nation of ours. Y’all, we’ve faced some mighty tough times, but by God, we’ve always pulled through together.

When those bombs fell on Pearl Harbor, we didn’t cower – we stood up. Our grandfathers and great-grandfathers answered the call without hesitation, showing the world what American resolve truly means. That’s the kind of spirit that makes me proud to be an American, right down to my bones.

You know, sometimes we get caught up in our differences, arguing over this and that on social media. But when I read FDR’s words, I’m reminded that at our core, we’re all cut from the same star-spangled cloth. Whether you’re from the sweet South like me or from sea to shining sea, we’re blessed to call this land home.

Looking back at how our nation united after Pearl Harbor gives me hope for today. That same American spirit – that grit, determination, and unwavering faith in each other – still runs through our veins. We’re the children and grandchildren of heroes, folks. Let’s never forget that.

God bless America, and God bless each one of you. 🦅

Posted April 5, 2025 – Y’all won’t believe what the media isn’t telling you! While they’re fussin’ over President Trump’s travel costs, they’re sweepin’ a $4.7 TRILLION spending binge under the rug from the last administration! Let me tell ya something—real leadership isn’t about penny-pinching on flights; it’s about courageously…

Well, heaven’s got ‘em a good one now.  My old friend Fred Harget left us yesterday, and if there’s any justice in the hereafter, Saint Peter’s already handed him a rod and reel and pointed him toward the best fishing hole up yonder. Back in the ‘70s, there wasn’t a…
