Posted November 6, 2024 – Well, folks, gather ‘round and lend me your ears, because I have something to say, and I promise it’s not just another tale about the weather in these here parts! November 5th, 2024, will go down in history as a day when the great American Silent Majority had something to say—and, buddy, did we say it loud and clear! Seems like the good Lord above smiled down on us and gave us a wake-up call, bless His heart. And the Silent Majority finally got tired of hollerin’ at the TV and decided to do some talkin’ with their ballot boxes. The Silent Majority, that’s us, the regular folks who love this country and its people, spoke loud and clear with our votes. We’re talkin’ about a whole lotta love, a whole lotta gratitude, and a whole lotta “we’re watchin’ you now” to them Legacy Media outlets. I reckon it’s high time we tipped our hats to the good Lord and the American Silent Majority for letting their voices be heard on November 5th.
You see, our country has been led down a winding path by Legacy Media, folks who’ve become a little too comfortable in their ivory towers, using their platforms to advance their own agendas rather than truly representing the heart and soul of the American people. But on that fateful day, God and all the good patriotic voters poked them right in the ribs, awakening a sleeping giant of common sense and unity! Seems like the winds of change have been blowing, and we’ve seen just how the Legacy Media has been stirring up a storm in our beautiful country. But let this be a lesson to those media fellas, the ones with their fancy studios and their hair slicked back tighter than a tick on a hound dog. We see you. We see what you been doin’, tryin’ to pull the wool over our eyes and tell us up is down and black is white. This here’s America, and we got a way of rightin’ the ship when it gets off course. No more spin, no more lies, no more tryin’ to manipulate us regular folks. We’re onto you, and we won’t be silenced. So y’all best be puttin’ on your Sunday best and mindin’ your manners, ’cause the American people are awake now, and we’re watchin’. Take this here wake-up call as a chance to reflect and course-correct. We ain’t askin’ for much – just honesty, fairness, and a healthy dose of good old fashioned American decency. Tell it straight, and don’t Dim the truth.
Our message to the advertisers, shareholders, and fancy folks upstairs at those big media companies is crystal clear: We’ve got our eyes peeled and our minds open, and believe me, we are watching you! It’s time to straighten up and fly right, or you might find yourselves on the receiving end of a collective flush by the voters who want fair, honest reporting—including you folks who might feel a bit misled.
Now, I reckon it’d be wise for those folks who voted for Kamala—we know you might be feeling a touch of disillusionment or anger right now. The media has played you, too, with their smoke and mirrors, and we understand that frustration. You wanted change, just like the rest of us, but let’s direct that energy toward unity instead of division. Together, we can forge a path toward a brighter future, one where all voices are heard, and truth reigns supreme.
Now, we know some of y’all may be feelin’ a little down in the dumps if your candidate, Kamala Harris, didn’t quite make the cut. But here’s the thing: we still love you, neighbors! We still love you, friends! We still love you, family! We’re not gonna let a little thing like politics come between us. After all, we’re all in this together, like one big ol’ American family. We’ve all got that one uncle who brings up politics at Thanksgiving dinner, and we love him anyway, don’t we? So why not embrace that spirit of togetherness as we move forward? Now, I also know a lot of folks out there, good folks, maybe even sittin’ across the dinner table from ya, voted the other way. And that’s alright. We’re all Americans here, even if some of us got a little turned around by the fancy talkin’ and highfalutin’ promises. We still love ya, even if your mama did raise you wrong politically. So, to all my fellow Americans out there, let’s take a deep breath, let’s be proud of our country, and let’s move forward together. We’re in this for the long haul, and we’re gonna make America great for everyone, not just the privileged few. It’s the diversity of our thoughts and opinions that make us strong. Let’s use that strength to help forge a better future together, side by side.
As we embrace this new chapter for our great nation, let’s keep our hearts and minds open. We may not always agree, but we surely can come together in our love for America and in our desire for her greatness. So, let’s roll up our sleeves, encourage our media to step up to the plate, and ensure our voices carry far and wide.
In closing, remember that while we may come from different corners of this beautiful land, we all cherish our home. Together, we can rise above the fray, with pride in our hearts and hope for the future, as we remind each other: We are the United States of America, and we’re just getting started!
Y’all, remember ol’ Uncle Sam’s words: “Ask not what your country can do for you – ask what you can do for your country.” We’ve got a lot of work to do, from mendin’ fences to buildin’ bridges, and it’s gonna take each and every one of us givin’ a little extra somethin’ to make this place even better than it already is. Let’s wrap this up like a warm, Southern hug. Whether you’re a Democrat, Republican, or somewhere in between, remember, we’re all Americans first and foremost. And as Lewis Grizzard used to say, “If we can keep our sense of humor and our sense of purpose, we’ll make it through this journey just fine.”
Now, let’s go have some sweet tea and try to figure out how to move forward together, like the good Lord intended. Y’all take care now, and remember, together we’re stronger than a field full of mules on a sunny day. God bless the USA!
Over and out from your friend,
Dean Burnette
P.S. And would y’all mind sendin’ a little prayer up to heaven for ol’ Uncle Joe, too? We could use some of that Biden charm and unity these days. Thanks, y’all!
P.S.S. To all our Legacy Media friends, we’re keepin’ an eye on ya. Don’t make us have to come after ya with a rolled-up newspaper!
